Janu means knee and Basti mean to hold. For this procedure the patient is made to lie on the back on the therapy table, a ring of kneaded dough is placed around the patient’s knees, whose height is at least 5 Should be 6 inches from In this ring, medicinal oil like Mahanarayan, bat, sesame oil, etc. is heated and poured with the help of cotton.

When the oil cools, it is heated again. A cotton swab or syringe can be used to remove the oil from the ring. This process is repeated for 25 to 30 minutes. Finally, after cleaning the oil thoroughly, the ring of dough is removed with wet hands. After the procedure, warm oil is massaged on the knees and feet of the patient with light hands. Although patients start feeling relief in pain only after taking 3 to 6 therapies, this process can also be increased if needed.
