Janu Basti
Thus Janu Vasti means a treatment in which medicated oils are poured and pooled for a fixed duration of time in a compartment.
Although the Janu Basti procedure is considered a safe procedure, patients with sensitive skin may have some problems with it such as:-
- Due to excessive heating of the oil, the patient’s skin starts turning red.
- Swelling and pain can increase if the procedure is not done right.
- Some people may experience skin irritation and itching from the medicated oil, which goes away on their own after treatment.
Precautions:-
Along with this, while taking this procedure, we should also take some precautions such as:-
- One should not take a bath immediately after the procedure or use only warm or lukewarm water for bathing.
- No heavy exercise should be done during the procedure
- Before getting Janu Basti done, the advice of a doctor must be taken once.
